Priya succeeding in school

Priya_Kushwah
Dear Tom, Yumi, Kelly, and Chapman,

Thank you for supporting Amar Jyoti Charitable Trust! Amar Jyoti serves about 700 children through its unparalleled educational system in which children with and without disabilities learn together. In addition to their academic services, the school campuses also offer physical therapy, family counseling, vocational training, and health services.

Priya is four years old and in the ‘nursery’ class at Amar Jyoti’s campus in Delhi, India. She is a pleasant girl from a low-income family — her parents do not make enough money to support their children.

When Priya joined the Jyoti school, she did not show any interest in her studies. Now, though, she is learning both Hindi and English, and she has shown improvement in her grades. Her teacher says she is an active girl who succeeds in all her subjects. Outside of class, she likes to play with toys and puzzles.

Thank you Tom, Yumi, Kelly and Chapman for supporting these amazing students and giving those that face disabilities the chance to learn in an integrated environment.
