Nine year old Ishika Rajpoot studies in the integrated school run by Amar Jyoti in Gwalior. She comes from an economically deprived family. Her father is a tailor and her mother is a housewife. Though very active and curious, Ishika was lagging behind the rest of the class when she joined the school.
Ishika has shown marked improvement, and is now one of the better students in her class. In her final examination, she secured 82% marks and 2nd rank in her class. She has been promoted to grade 2 and will be starting the new academic year in June 2011.
She loves dancing, and is also good at drawing. She has represented the school in inter-school competitions and even won a prize. She is a chirpy and active child, who drives her teachers crazy with her incessant chatter.
Your donation, Chapman, ensures that Ishika can go to school for an entire year. Thank you, for supporting her.
