Altaf, like a typical seven year old, is a bundle of energy. He is always upto mischief, and keeps everyone on their toes. His father struggles to run the household on theĀ meagerĀ income he makes as an auto-parts mechanic, and his family could never have afforded to send him to school.
Altaf has been studying at the integrated school run by Amar Jyoti in Gwalior for the past three years, where his tuition fees have always been donated by generous benefactors. When he joined, he was average in studies, but he has put in a lot of effort and his academic results are now excellent. He secured 83% marks in the final examinations in grade one, and stood first in class. He has now been promoted to grade 2, and will be starting the new school year in June 2011.
Altaf is really looking forward to being a “big” boy, and your donations, Ioana & Radu, Leo, Chris, David, Kandace, Lee, Sarah, Ray & Lael, Pradeep, Peter, Peter & Kim, Michael, will enable him to attend school without having to worry about not being able to afford it.
Altaf is active and talkative boy, who participates in all the school activities. He is a budding sportsman and has won prizes in inter-school meets. Thank you for enabling him to bloom.
