Rohit is learning Hindi and English!

Rohit Lohre
Dear Prem and Swarn,

Rohit is a nine year old boy studying in the special section at Amar Jyoti School. He is a slow learner and suffers from Cerebral Palsy. Despite these issues, he has been coming to Amar Jyoti for three years and shows progress each year.

Rohit is from an economically underprivileged family. His father is a driver and his mother is a home maker. It is difficult for his parents to support his education and medical needs. He has two other siblings who also need to be supported by his parents.

Rohit was very reserved when he joined Amar Jyoti. He did not communicate much with his peers. Academically, he was average in all of his subjects. He only had basic knowledge of Hindi and English alphabets. In Maths, he could only count from 1 to 50.

Rohit has shown gradual improvement, both socially and academically. He communicates with much more confidence and has developed friendships with his peers. Academically, he is making efforts to improve his performance.

Rohit gets involved in almost all of the class activities. In sports, he shows interest in basketball. He is good in music and drawing as well.

Thanks to your kind donation Prem, it is possible for Rohit to continue his studies at Amar Jyoti school and realize his full potential!  Without your support, Rohit’s education would not be possible.
